Teacher Platform
The Teacher Platform of the Professional Academy for Teachers (PAT) is the first government digital platform for distance training dedicated to providing professional development services to educational staff in Egypt. The concept of the platform emerged as part of the Academy’s institutional development and digital transformation strategy. In 2019, specialists from the Information Directorate at the Professional Academy for Teachers formally submitted the initiative to the competent authority, recognizing the importance of transitioning from traditional training methods to a digital distance-learning model and reengineering professional development processes. Following approval by the competent authority, the platform was developed by a team of experts from the Information Directorate and officially launched in 2020, coinciding with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. During its pilot phase, the platform was designed to train and assess more than 300,000 teachers eligible for promotion. The platform achieved significant success and has continued to expand and enhance its services in alignment with the vision of the national leadership, the State’s digital transformation agenda, and Egypt Vision 2030.
